Living through the COVID-19 pandemic has given many families a front-row seat to virtual classroom innovations. It hasn’t been easy, with kids learning how to navigate virtual classroom meetings. The good news is,Β NSF-funded engineers, social scientists, and computer scientists are constantly working to improve both education, and our virtual ways of communication. In the future our children will benefit from more immersive education that allows them to interact with each other, AND places theyβd never be able to visit. Hereβs looking forward to a virtual school reality where kids get to feed fish to penguins in Antarctica ;-).
