Our Team is Growing!
There’s a very important anniversary coming up… and you guessed it–it’s ours! SayoStudio is officially 15 years old this fall, 2022. Founded by Nicolle R. Fuller in 2007 (although it seems like yesterday!), our science communication studio has expanded to a team of 12 artists, designers, and science communication experts. We’ve had such a great year, getting to celebrate incredible science like the Higgs Boson and Cell Atlas with our art, and supporting researchers with a host of journal cover art and figures. Please help us celebrate this milestone and our growth, with a look at some of the SayoStudio team’s work over the past year.

Claire has been with SayoStudio since 2019, developing our web design services, expanding our graphic design and infographic offerings, and helping guide the team as our new Art Director. She holds a BA in biology with a concentration on pre-medicine and a studio art minor. We’re pleased to share some of the abstract art that she’s created recently for the cover of the American Association for Cancer Research and their Cancer Discovery Journal.

Her science specialties include ornithology (check out her ornithology art inspiration here!), zoology, and paleontology, and this past year she’s helped lead the team to create epic ecology landscape murals.

5. Christoph Kuehne – Lead Science Animator
This past year Christoph started working with SayoStudio, bringing Houdini 3d wizardry and a PhD in structural biology to create mesmerizing looks at the molecular landscape of cells. He’s created several scientific animations over the past year for SayoStudio, from volcanoes erupting, to the mRNA vaccine animation. He’s also a sound designer, using many of his own audio creations to create the complete animation.
